Skywatch Friday #35 Solitude

A very stormy evening out in the middle of nowhere. Some where between Idaho border and Burns Oregon. It was getting late and the roads were snow packed. So very peaceful and beautiful, but so lonely and cold. Didn't see another car for hours.

  3. I love scenes just like this. I love how you included the fence in this one, too. The landscape exudes so much mood! My favorite so far!

  4. It's beautiful. Love the colours and the fence and it makes me think of the many faces of the majesty of nature - in this case peaceful and yet potentially harmful.

  5. It sure does look lonely. Not a place to run out of gas thats for sure.

  6. The fence does add perspective.I love the way the shot is almost entirely blue, in so many shades! There is a sense of peace, but I would have been seriously scared at the lack of traffic.

  12. love this shot. The dark fence against the white background is a nice contrast and makes the endless fence really stand out as well. I can feel the cold solitude from here. Very nice

  21. I can almost feel the stillness and quiet. There are picture shots that capture exactly how we feel at a particulat moment. When you HAVE to stop the car and take the picture. I scrolled down through some of your precvious posts, too. I really enjoyed stopping by. Thank you.
