SKYWATCH FRIDAY - MY SKIES THIS WEEK






THESE ARE MY SKIES THIS WEEK. WE HAD THUNDERSHOWERS EVERYDAY. QUITE UNUSUAL FOR AROUND HERE. THEY AREN'T BIG THUNDER STORMS BUT THEY CAUSED A LOT OF LIGHTNING FIRES. LUCKILY THERE WAS A LOT OF RAIN ALONG WITH THE LIGHTNING THIS TIME. THE FIRST PICTURE IS TAKEN AT EMIRGRANT LAKE, THE NEXT THREE FROM MY HOUSE AND THE LAST ONE ATOP MOUNT ASHLAND.

    Oh wow you got some great shots there, we had lots of nasty weather today. So far there hasn't been a lot of pretty skies.

    The orangy glow. What does it mean when the sky is that colour? We have had similar colours, but I forgot to check the next day.

    You had a great variety in the weatherconditions as it seems. Gave some good shots too. We had no thunderstorm yet. But they will probably come soon.

    Very cool photos of those wonderful skies..

    In the first one, at the left, there is a cloud that looks a little like Alladin's Lamp.. :-)
